Canada Goose, Winter. Find Out Which Canada Goose Fit Is Best For Your Body

Size & Fit

“Which size should I get for my Canada Goose parka?” We often get asked what size Canada Goose is the right one. It’s a great question and it depends on a few factors. Beyond your personal preference, there’s your body size. Below you can find a sizing chart which indicates the measurements for your body and is sure to help the choosing process.

These measurements don’t necessarily take into account the fit of the separate parkas although Canada Goose does design their parkas within three fit types: slim, regular and relaxed. Below are short descriptions of each style with the sizing charts organized by fit so you can easily find which one is right for you.

Relaxed Fit

Relaxed in this case is an understatement. They are very loose. Perhaps the loosest you’ll ever wear in the corresponding size. This extra room has a function. In the coldest environments, on the coldest days, you’ll want to be able to add some layers. The looseness allows just that; it means you can easily add a good 10°C – 15°C to your jacket. Despite the looseness, the jacket is still made for the body indicated in the sizing chart. If you are debating between two sizes, feel free to order the smaller one. If you are looking to downsize more than one size for a trimmer fit, you should think about getting another model.

For Her:

For Him:

  • Expedition Parka
  • Polar Bear Internation Expedition Parka
  • Resolute Parka
  • Expedition Parka
  • Polar Bear International Expedition Parka
  • Resolute Parka
  • Snow Mantra

Hi, I was wondering which fit to get with the langford – the slim or the fusion fit? I’m 5’6″ wears small dress shirts but have a bit more musculature than a normal guy. I wear suits to work and I would like to layer clothes too. I would like to be able to wear the Langford parka over my suit or layered clothes. Which one to get? Thanks!

Hi PJ, on average, the Fusion Fit men’s jackets have smaller chest measurements and slightly bigger waist sizes sp there is no difference however between the hip measurements for both sizing types. If you feel you’re more muscular in the chest, I would suggest sticking with the regular model rather than the fusion fit.

Hello, I am interested in the Trillium Parka, and am not sure as to order XL or XXL. I have 40DD (45in around the chest).

Hello Yolanda, the chest measurements for the XXL are 44-47 inches so this may be the more suitable option for yourself.

    Hi,
I am looking for advice on purchasing the Rossclair parka. My measurements are 32-24-33. Would 2XS be too tight or considered a perfect fit?

    Thanks in advance

Hi Nina, looking at your measurements, you’re right on the cusp of the size so it’s possible it will be just right but it’s hard to say depending what you’re wearing underneath. I would recommend purchasing the small and Xsmall and just return whichever does not fit. With our lifetime membership, you get free shipping on returns so it’s as easy as that!

Hello! I have my fixed in the Kensington parka but I’m confused about sizes. My measurements are 35-26-35 and I’m usually a 36 in European sizing. According to the chart I should be an S in the chest area but in everything else I should wear an XS. I certainly don’t want a bulky look but I also don’t want my chest to be too tight that I cannot wear anything underneath. What size should I get? Thank you in advance!

Thanks for the questions Mel, I would suggest the small because if the chest is too tight you may find the fit uncomfortable and not very practical to wear for your daily routine. In saying that, it depends on how close you are to the end of the chest measurement. If you’re on the border of small and extra small, going with the extra small may not be so bad. The best recommendation would be to try the jacket on in a store near you or order both and return whichever has the less comfortable fit. Hi,
I’m looking to purchase the Mystique Parka,
However was wandering how well it works when sitting down as it’s quite long.

    Many thanks

      Hi Rebecca,

The Mystique Parka is indeed quite long as it is design to be warm & fashionable. Sitting down should’nt be a problem, but be sure to look at the fit of the jacket first. Keep in mind that the Mystique Parka has a length of 49” (124.46 cm)

I would like to know which style is lightweight. I am considering the Lorette.

Hello Loretta, for a lightweight choice, you can visit the thermal index blog post here which outlines the best jackets for certain temperature ranges: http://altitude-blog.com/en/canada-goose-thermal-experience-index/ . The Lorette is actually one of the warmer down parkas and would not be a lightweight jacket but would make a great winter coat. If you’re looking for something lightweight, you may be interested in the Reid jacket, the Brookvale Hooded Coat or even the Hybridge Lite Hoody.

    Hello
I have the CG Shelburne Parka in Medium and it is the perfect fit for me.
i am debating between the Brookvale Hoody or Camp Hoody. I am having difficulty finding out the difference between the two other than what has already been articulated in the blog. I am reading that the arms are bigger with Camp Hoody but Brookvale has 4 way stretch – is this true?
What size should i pick? From the reviews i understand that both are slim fit and that i should go up one size. i am 5’2″ 120 pounds but i like a relaxed fit. i do not like my clothes to be snug. Would you suggest the Large?
Also are they both matte black, i do not want a shiny black which i understand is the Hybridge.

Hello Angie, the Camp Hoody is in fact made with a 4-way stretch material. Fit wise, the Camp Hoody seems like it will be a slightly longer fit and has toggles on the hood for a secure fit which the Brookvale does not. For finding the most accurate fit, it would be recommended to try on the jackets at a shop near you, otherwise, if you sign up for our free membership, you can order both to try them on and receive free shipping and free returns at no extra cost. Happy shopping!
