I am not familiar with hunting in manitoba, but from what i heard its pretty good...For myself i hunt in my hometown near Ottawa, Ontario and we have plenty of geese we got our limits everytime we went out being 25 geese and shot plenty snow goose as well... usually 1 hour of hunting after sunrise is often enough Poncho   Posts: 7 Joined: Wed Oct 25, 2006 9:22 am Location: Ontario, Canada Top

And another thing, with all the cyber scouters out there, no one in their right mind will answer questions about a specific area publically on the forums---because no one wants additional hunters who are competition to them. So get a clue. Help support your local state waterfowl org, Delta waterfowl and DU Please join or renew with them. Hey it's been snowing up here in manitoba but there are still birds around if you know where they are..As for Ashern it's a great area for hunting if you know where to hunt. I've been hunting in that area for many years now and have no complaints. As for the birds being up there still not to sure i think you might have missed them due to the weather, the northerns are still kicking around here and there but i'm not sure if they are still in around that area. I haven't been up there for about a month now, your best bet would be to call a guide service in that area or someone you know. simp-ink   Posts: 48 Joined: Thu Jun 22, 2006 6:37 pm Location: Manitoba Top Re: h2ofwlr

Never said you were a cyber scouter, but many guys try to gleen every ounce of information they can by reading posts on areas on where to hunt. Seen it happen way too many times. Like I said, only the niave newbies would be foolish enough to post specific areas like a town. Help support your local state waterfowl org, Delta waterfowl and DU Please join or renew with them.
